STRATEGY AND GOVERNANCE

Chairperson : Muireann O Dea

  • Figurehead / represents DCC at official meetings
  • Prepares DCC monthly meeting agendas (& AGM) & chairs meetings;
  • Drafts / signs off on various DCC submissions;

Vice-Chairperson : Damien Ó Tuama

  • Covers above when Chairperson unavailable

Strategy & Governance : Colm Ryder

  • Longer term vision for DCC
  • Relationship with Cyclist.ie + other cycling organisations

Treasurer : Paschal Comerford

  • Cheques lodged; Expenses reimbursed.
  • Reports to monthly meetings on DCC bank balance;
  • Prepares end of year accounts / official audit, advises on financial matters

Funding Strategy : Colm Ryder, Paschal C (Support welcome!)

  • Especially via ECF to access EU funding / linking with Cyclist.ie + Corporate membership

Secretary : Colm Ryder

  • Draft, circulate, finalise, print monthly meeting minutes
  • Official correspondence

MEMBERSHIP / ACTIVATING VOLUNTEERS

Membership Team : Eugene Doran, Elvi Benzonan, John Power

  • Administer membership database and issue membership rewards cards

Membership Recruitment : Paddy Cahill, Alita Rivero

  • Promotion of membership scheme

  • Facilitating members to become active according to their skills & interests

  • Attend SPC Meetings (4-5 per year)

Technical Officer : Colm Moore

  • Drafting of technical submissions re planning applications & other traffic & transport proposals. Includes DLRCC + SDCC + FCC + Cyclist.ie work.

RESEARCH & LOBBYINGDLRCC/ SDCC/ FINGAL AREAS

  • Seek & present DCC views on agenda items
  • Attend SPC Meetings (4-5 per year)

South Dublin Group (SDCC) : Máiread Forsythe, Muireann O’Dea, Jimmy Murphy, Liz Hickey

  • Group to monitor planning applications & respond etc.
  • Member of Transport SPC & follow above approach (Máiread Forsythe)
  • Otherwise/Additionally, need regular contact with Cllrs + Engineers
  • NB for 2014 – Lobbying (potential) Councillors ahead of local elections

Fingal Group (FCC) : Ray Ryan, Michael McKenna, Damien Carbery

  • Skerries Cycling Initiative now on the SPC.

  • Seek & present DCC views on agenda items
  • Attend SPC Meetings (4-5 per year)
  • Lobby for a new Cycle Forum
