On Yer Bike Again for DUBLIN 2017!
This coming Saturday 25th March sees the official opening of what may well become the jewel in Ireland’s growing Greenway cycling network! Waterford County Council have worked long and hard, together with support from community organisations, to bring the latest 45km section of segregated greenway to full realisation. The route is a wonderful amalgam of river, mountain, countryside and coast, offering the best of Irish scenery to potential visitors, with a range of potential stop-off points, to explore local towns and villages.
The Bicycle Christmas Party is back! We’re thrilled to team up with the fantabulous Goldsprints DJs & Bicycle Roller Racing gang for a Saturday night extravaganza! All taking place on December 10th in the lovely Back Page pub on Phibsborough Rd - a few minutes’ cycle from Church Street bridge (just beyond where Luas Cross City runs by the front of Broadstone station and before ‘Doyle’s corner’).
Nearly 1,000 cyclists took to the streets of Dublin last month seeking a fairer deal for cycling! If you were one of them then our upcoming monthly public session will be of interest. Why not come along and make your voice heard!? Cycling needs a stronger voice generally, and we need to make sure we are representing YOUR VOICE when we plan for the upcoming year.
Hey!…..Belfast, for the second year in succession, is opening its streets to cyclists, roller bladers, skaters, walkers, prams and wheelchairs, while it closes them to motorised traffic. All this is happening next Sunday (30th October) in Belfast, so if you are a cyclist, and can spare the time head up there and support this great pro-cycling event!
Why not join some Dublin Cycling Campaign and Cyclist.ie members on one of these trip options this coming Sunday! It should be great fun and places are still open! Check out http://greatdublinbikeride.ie/
