We’re looking for Cycling Activists to join our Management Team!
Dublin Cycling Campaign has a formal Board of six directors, and a committee that manages the day-to-day activities of the campaign. The Board works closely with the committee to implement our strategic plan and ensure the good governance and financial sustainability of the organisation. Once a year, at our AGM, we elect a committee to pilot the Campaign for the following year. We are looking for cycling advocates who are interested in helping take the Campaign to a new level. We would like you to take a more active role within the Cycling Campaign on the Board or Committee, so that we can help to make Dublin a more cycling friendly city. We particularly want our Board and Committee to represent the diversity of the cycling community.
Dublin Cycling Campaign has been at the heart of a campaign to make Dublin a vibrant, liveable city for over 25 years. Becoming a Dublin Cycling Campaign Board or Committee member is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the next phase of our journey. Board and Committee members give their time for free. We will endeavour to support new Board and Committee members through suitable mentoring and training, and opportunities to attend events and conferences, where possible.
We are asking you, as a Campaign member, to consider putting your name forward. If you have a Vision for Dublin, and a particular Skill please consider applying. There are lots of different roles, including: chairperson, vice-chairperson, treasurer, secretary, membership secretary and 4 aim group leaders, as well as many support roles in PR, Social Media, Fundraising, liaison with Local Authorities etc.
If you are interested in any of these roles, or finding out more, then please email us and tell us why you think you would make a good candidate. Emails to be sent to our secretary at colm.ryder@gmail.com. Our upcoming AGM will be held on Saturday 15th September, in Tailors’ Hall, Back Lane, Dublin 8. But please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested. At the AGM all roles are open for approval by the general membership. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
Help us do more for cycling in Dublin by becoming a member!
