The next meeting for the DLR Cycling Advocacy Group will be on Wednesday 14th November at 18:30 in the Dun Laoghaire LexIcon building.

The workshop will focus on Quick Wins in DLR that will help make cycling easier and enable new cyclists. We are looking for those simple things that you see everyday that are the type of where “if they only did that” it would make an appreciable difference for cycling. It may also benefit walking and other road users too.

Examples of quick wins are

• The dishing of a curb to make it easier to get in / out of a cycle track

• The removal or reshaping of railings, kissing gates

• Constant parking in cycle lanes

• The adjustment of traffic sensors to pick up bicycles

• The adjustment of traffic timings or phasing to allow for better crossing

• Road surfaces / Pot holes that have been overlooked

• Drain / man hole covers
