The City Council has commissioned a visionary and transformative new plan for transport in the city centre

The plan envisages making the Quays public-transport only, planting more trees, the pedestrianisation of Parliament Street (once BusConnects route changes are done) and a ‘Tara Triangle’ around the planned Metro Station. The picture above shows the two-way cycle route proposed for Eden Quay - paradise compared to the Hunger Games layout we have now - and the long-discussed College Green public space is a centrepiece. We made a submission on the plan which you can download from the link below. We’re just hoping this doesn’t become another dusty PDF in the hard drive, never to be executed: It could make our city an even more beautiful place to live and visit.
