We in Dublin Cycling Campaign are all deeply upset at the tragic loss of life at Dolphin’s Barn Bridge on Monday November 6th.

Someone’s friends and family are struggling in shock and disbelief that will bleed in to years of grief. We extend heartfelt condolences to those affected.

We are furious at the delays in providing safe, segregated cycle lanes for our city. We are frustrated at the irresponsibly low levels of enforcement of safe driving in our city. The movement of heavy goods vehicles especially needs careful management.

We pledge to continue our work, knowing that Dublin CAN provide safer streets for all Dubliners that use bikes.
