Afternoon:

Local Authority Seminar ‘Funding Cycling Projects
A specific Seminar for Irish Local Authorities with the emphasis on EU Funding, Cycling Economics and cycling development in Ireland.

Evening:

Public Meeting. For anyone wishing to come to Dublin a little earlier, do note that we are organising a large public meeting on a cycling topic on Thursday night 24th April with ECF President Manfred Neun speaking on “Cycling Makes Sense – Why Investment in Cycling Makes Good Economic and Social Sense!”. All are welcome to this meeting even though it is outside the formal ECF AGM events. Admission free.

ECF AGM Starts!

The ECF AGM kicks off with Lunch at 13.00

ECF Member Workshops

There will be optional member development workshops “Growing and developing your cycling advocacy organisation”. Delegates will be spilt so that they are working with groups of similar size and structure. Facilitated by K. Mayne and B. Ensink ECF. More details to follow direct to registered delegates when the mix of delegates is known. These will take place in the historic Wood Quay venue.

 Evening Welcome Reception

An evening welcome reception for all delegates.

Sat 26th April

ECF AGM

Running all day Saturday, details will be circulated separately by the ECF in due course. The AGM will take place in the historic Wood Quay venue.

Evening Dinner - Civic Reception

Dublin City Council will be hosting you and all ECF delegates at a special Civic Reception on Friday night. Not to be missed!

Sun 27th April

Guided cycle tours around Dublin.

We will have full day bicycle tours in Dublin City and County led by local cycling advocates and planners. Remember that Dublin is by the sea and at the foot of the mountains and has a strong urban cycling culture that is waiting to be explored!

Mon 28th April

Guided cycle tours in West of Ireland including Euro Velo Rte 1.

For those wishing to leave the capital and explore the West of Ireland, Cyclist.ie member group Sligo Cycles has organised a 3 day & 3 night cycle tour of Sligo County. We will leave Dublin by train on Sunday afternoon.

Tues 29th April

Guided cycle tours continuing in West of Ireland.

County Sligo is famous for being the inspiration behind much of the poetry of William Butler Yeats who spent much of his childhood there. It has a beautiful Atlantic coastline, favoured by surfers and the imposing rock formation of Ben Bulben is an established climbing destination.

Wed 30th April

Return to Dublin or continue with your travels around the West of Ireland. Travel north to Donegal and the North of Ireland or south to the stunning scenery of Mayo, Galway and Clare.
