St. Patrick's Day - Join in the Parade with Dublin Cycling Campaign!
We are now seeking volunteers and participants for the Dublin parade on March 17th
Dublin Cycling Campaign is delighted to be taking part in the official Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade again this year. This is the 9th year running that we have participated in the Dublin parade.
Our theme for 2018 is “Freedom Machine” - celebrating 100 years since women won the right to vote and the role of the bicycle in the emancipation of women.
We are now looking for people to help out with our final preparations for the parade, and for people to take part in the parade itself on March 17th.
To tie in with our Freedom Machine theme we will have one hundred women on bicycles at the front of our pageant, attired in suffragette costumes and carrying hand-crafted replica period banners, sashes and placards. These pioneering women will be followed by a group made up of their families, along with supporters and members of the Dublin Cycling Campaign on all kinds of bicycles.
Men are more than welcome to participate in the parade with us too, but the women will be front and centre!
If you’d like to take part in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade with Dublin Cycling Campaign please fill out this short application form and our coordinator Donna Cooney will be in touch with you as soon as possible. It’s going to be a great day out!
